Sorina Doroga is a Senior Lecturer and the Vice Dean for international relations at the Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara, where she teaches various courses on European and international law.
She is the leader of digiLEAP – Digitally Shifting EU’s Law & Legal Studies’ Content in Higher Education, an Erasmus+ strategic project implemented by the West University of Timișoara alongside partners from three other countries. The project focuses on innovation in legal studies and practice, with an aim to increase the digital awareness and readiness of legal professionals, law lecturers and students alike.
Over the course of her professional and academic activity, Sorina has been constantly interested in developing ways to bridge the gap between traditional legal education and the needs of today’s legal market. During her LL.M. studies at Harvard Law School she took courses on innovation in legal education and practice and in 2021 she founded the first legal clinic program dedicated to NGOs and the civil society at the Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara (Clinica Juridică pentru Societatea Civilă).
Sorina is an attorney at law with over twelve years of experience, practising as a member of the Timiș Bar. She is also a lecturer on European law at the National Institute for Professional Training of Attorneys (INPPA) Timișoara.
