George Gîrleșteanu is Professor Ph.D. and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Law, University of Craiova, and also coordinator of Ph. theses in the area of Constitutional Law since 2015.
The research areas of Professor Gîrleșteanu are Constitutional Law and Human Rights. In his professional career, Professor Gîrleșteanu published more than 12 books and 70 articles. Also, he participated in more than 35 national and international conferences and was coordinator/member in 15 national or international research grants.
Professor Gîrleșteanu is Visiting Professor at Université de Bourgogne, Faculté de Droit et Science Politiques, Dijon, France (2009-2014) and has performed a 2-month Post Ph.D. mobility stage in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Law, Thessaloniki, Greece.
