LegalTech & start-ups

What does it mean to innovate in the legal field? How are startups changing the way legal services are delivered? And… why do some of them choose to automate processes instead of turning to lawyers?

At the National Conference “Smart Law: Integrating AI in Legal Systems” (ELSA Cluj-Napoca), our colleague Mihai Cărăbaș brought to the forefront a topic that is still rarely explored in the Romanian legal landscape: LegalTech solutions.

In a world where technology is advancing rapidly, it’s no longer enough to just be good “at law.” It’s important to understand the environment in which your clients are innovating – what a startup is, how an accelerator works, what design thinking means, and what the foundations of information systems are.

The workshop was more than just a presentation. It was an invitation to openness, adaptability, and continuous learning – for everyone who wants to stay relevant at the intersection of law, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Thank you to all the participants for your sharp questions and open discussions!
